We have complied a snapshot of the Medway area house prices have continued to grow by 7% since the start of 2017, with new properties coming to the market up 30% since the start of 2017.
With rental properties the average rent is around £1,000 PCM, and an average yield of just over 5%. The 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom houses have shown the biggest areas of growth with an increase of 4.7% and 8% respectively since the start of 2017.
We anticipate rents will remain robust especially as supply of rental properties has to fallen since January.
Gillingham has been mentioned as the fastest growing area outside of Greater London with an 11.8% increase since Q1 2016 in Rightmove’s rental price tracker.
Latest figures from Zoopla show that in Kent over 12 million properties have been viewed since November 2016.
